10 steps how to monitor the forklift li-ion battery on all aspects

Hi there! Have you noticed how your supplier monitors the quality of lithium cells used on your forklift batteries? ���


As we all know lithium cells are the most important material for assembling forklift batteries. The consistency of the cells almost determines the cycle life of a finished battery pack to a large extent.
Not only do we use the top brand of grade A cells in China, but also we have automated devices to re-check the performance of all cells before getting them on the production line.
This is only the first step regarding QC, there will be must more steps.

 

EVEN though we are using the top quality cells in China, we will 100% re-check them one by one in case of any bad cells during transportation(there are chances of bad cells during transportation). we only make sure totally A-grade cells being used during assembly. If you come to visit, you'll see how we double-check the cells.

Making sure the A-grade quality battery cells is essential above all of course. But this is far from enough to make sure the TOP A quality of the battery packs. The cells will be firstly assembled into modules by our most advanced automated robotics and laser welding machine, each module will get a unique code to help with tracing, also each module will receive the EOL test automatically on production line. Only if no questions will they be allowed to move for next assembly process.

 

The module assembly line efficiency is very high due to high degree of automation assembly equipment, however the pack line requires more manual work, therefore we have set up an unattended warehouse specially for the battery modules to be stored temporary until the pack line needs them. The next well move to the pack assembly line.

 

Each PACK will include a process spot check card, each staff will have to follow this, do self and mutual inspection and make record according to the special characteristics of the process. At the same time, do EOL and charge and discharge function tests for PACK finished products. All qualified before the offline. Each pack will also have a unique code that makes record of the service condition at any time

 

Please note that it is not finished yet after the EOL and charge and discharge function tests. There are QC manager and members who will be responsible for final re-checking and only after this will a PASS card be authorized.

All the above steps are for quality monitoring for mass production.

 

What if there is a new product from a new customer? Do we start mass production as soon as we sign the contract or there are some initial testings for new projects?

 

This is good question, please check the below photos about what test we will conduct for new projects. Before mass production, we’ll conduct six tests before everything, -20 degree low temperature tests, vehicle performance test, national standard vibration test, rain test(for IP54 grade)or water immersion test(for IP67 grade), and working condition simulation test.

We can do these tests because we have our own lab that has been recognized by SGS. Due to the strong production, research and development strength of the factory, we have been fully equipped with all these equipment and devices, under this circumstances can we make sure the top high quality of the forklift lithium battery we offer to our dear customers all these 10 years.
